The Castle Rock Family ATV Club (CRFAC) was formed in 2002 to organize an effort to establish and maintain an ATV trail/route system in Juneau County that all recreational ATV users could use and enjoy. The mission was to have our county trail/route system link to neighboring counties and eventually be an integral part of a statewide trail/route system. The goal was to create, maintain, and preserve safe operation and use of ATV trails and routes in Northern Juneau County.
We are a Non-Stock Corporation established in 2002 and registered with the State of Wisconsin. We are a self-supporting club. The club is governed by a set of bylaws, which establishes a seven person Board of Directors that manages the club. Generally, the Board of Directors meets monthly (anyone is welcome to attend) whereas the general membership meetings are held approximately 2-3 times a year which includes the annual meeting held in February of each year. Our main on-going goal is to establish and maintain routes and trails in central Juneau County.
The CRFAC is a member of the Wisconsin ATV Association (WATVA). Its purpose is to help start, support, and promote local clubs including the Ride Smart Program, which trains local club members as ATV Safety Instructors. We have club members trained as ATV Safety Instructors and Trail Patrol Ambassadors. This provides us the opportunity to offer Safety Certification Classes and patrol/monitor our routes and trail systems.
Our annual events include, but are not limited to, ATV rides, picnics, fundraisers (fall and winter poker run), parade participation, community service activities, and etc. We try to be an environmentally conscious club. We participate in highway/road litter pickup through Adopt-a Road/Trail partnership with the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. Most recently, the CRFAC adopted Speedway Road within the Refuge in keeping the road free of litter, in promoting safe riding, and in engaging in education of ATV use in the National Wildlife Refuge System.
We strive to have a good time, ride safe and smart, and keep club members informed via membership meetings, our web site, and periodic group emails (please keep your email address up-to-date to receive event reminders and other club information). Our web site is www.crfatvc.com and Facebook page may be joined accordingly. Our mailing address is PO Box 185, Necedah, WI 54646.
We welcome you to join our club, with your help and our members the trail/route system can only get better and be preserved (open).
